Annelies

Annelies has been making her own clothes since she was a child and learned how to sew from her mother and grandmother. She comes from a creative family of five girls. Her mother spent many hours behind the sewing machine, making sure her girls looked nice, even with reused materials and fabrics.Always wanting to be able to create her own designs, she became a dressmaker. Three years ago she started working as a maker for Atelier Felié and created a little atelier space at home and which she called Atelier Anna Elizabeth.During the week Annelies is working as a social worker with homeless youth and young moms. But on free days, this little Atelier space became like a sanctuary to let out her creativity. Annelies loves to travel all over the world and get inspired by local fabrics and crafts. She’s looking for ways to combine her love for cultures and local arts into her designs. She learned from her family that creating beautiful things brings people together and connects them. It gives joy to make something and share the process and result with others.
